Advance Design and Installation of Photovoltaic Systems and Grid Intertie
Participants develop an in-depth understanding and skills in the design, installation and operation of photovoltaic systems Participants must have completed NHS's PV Design & Installation Seminar. Guest Instructors will cover building integrated photovoltaics, new technologies and more. Case studies will highlight system design for code compliance and commercial applications. This workshop is especially useful for people who currently work in or plan to be employed in the PV industry.

Learn how to design, install and maintain a photovoltaic (PV) system. This course offers an overview of photovoltaic electricity, and a detailed description of PV system components, including PV modules, batteries, controllers and inverters. Electrical loads are also addressed, including lighting systems, refrigeration, water pumping, tools and appliances. The course materials includes information on analyzing sites, sizing photovoltaic systems, and installing PV systems. The course will also cover PV system maintenance, troubleshooting.

Topics Include

      • Installation Safety
