About NHSolar?

The New Hampshire Solar Society is a group working to influence New Hampshire citizens, communities, voters and legislators the need to move New Hampshire towards Energy self suffuciency.

To accomplish this we want to educate and deseminate information on solar energy technology, alternative energy management and future self reliant energy systems.

The association is commited to:

Influencing codes and standards at all levels to streamline solar systems development and support getting subsides and government solar building incentives.

Educate New Hampshire on solar energy advantages, real costs compared to the Coal, Gas, Oil and Nuclear power dependencies

Educating all levels of the government and industry on the cost savings with local energy producing systems.

Provide a communications network to quickly and accurately identify industry problems, support exchangeof ideas and disseminate information on solutions, and organize various programs

We actively participates in the legistlation change process supporting the creation of a positive business environment for developing solar energy industry.

Through our participation, we have worked on trying to influence New Hampshire

Democratic Governor Jean Shaheen signed the Net Metering Legislation in 1998, aimed at expanding renewable energy choice for New Hampshire families and businesses.
